Grange Services Ltd is a small bespoke management company of an Independent Retirement development which aims to deliver a high quality service with a high quality team of staff.
The director Nikki Lewis, an RGN nurse has been involved in care all of her career and previously owned The Malthouse Care Home in Gillingham, Dorset for 18 years.
It was the concept of delivering high quality independent living which inspired her to develop Motcombe Grange in 2003 with her co director Peter Harding.
The ethos is to maintain dignity, respect and independence – ensuring personal wishes are prioritised at all times.
Grange Services is responsible for the employment of staff and collecting the monthly service charge and delivering services of the highest quality.
The monthly service charge will vary according to the needs of the individual development but will usually cover:
Each development will have its unique needs but, in general, the ethos remains unchanged. The role of the manager will be to welcome and assist new owners to settle into new homes and be on hand for advice and emergencies .This is just one aspect of the manager and deputy manager’s role. Their services are given in a professional manner, without intruding, allowing owners to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle where their wishes are paramount.
The manager who is in the office from 9.30am – 2pm Monday to Friday is also responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of grounds and buildings. The manager also arranges for window cleaning ,communal cleaning, rubbish collection, planning of dining room meals , social events, manning the bar etc.
Although owners are responsible for the internal maintenance of their home, they can take advantage of contacts with local suppliers and trades people. If a little more assistance or care support is needed, help and advise on a good quality ‘Care at Home Agency’s is available. In an emergency the manager or relief managers are there to provide immediate short-term comfort and assistance. This service is available 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
